The International Foundation Programme provides an induction year for foreign students at the University of Reading. We were asked to design a new logo for the course which would have appeal to the parents of teenagers in countries all around the world. After showing a range of different alternatives the course supervisors settled on the idea shown here. Our clients we very pleased with their new identity. They felt the open book could be read both as symbolising access to learning and as a sunrise, marking a new beginning for their students.
